MAPs (Maximizing Adolescent Potentials) is a leadership program involving Central students selected at the end of their freshman year for a summer training program. These students participate with representatives of the other Catholic High Schools in developing leadership skills for use in the schools. M.A.P.S. students are then challenged to used these skills for projects to benefit Central. The program also encourages members to support one another in these efforts. In past years, M.A.P.S. students have been significant leaders in Student Council and Central’s other activities. They have participated in a program to help freshmen during their orientation to our school. A few members have been trained as Conflict Managers at Central. The summer training session after the freshman year is open to 20 students who are chosen with the help of the faculty and administration as having potential as future leaders in our school.
